This project started when a local, Winston-Salem marketing firm, Brown Creative, was sought out by Carefree to rebuild their web presence. Portions of their requirements really had to do with a custom line of business system and very little to do with a typical website. Brown contacted us to assist and we were introduced to Jeremy and David.
After a couple of discussions the business needs clarified as a custom contract management system integrated with an existing line of business system. Each state requires a custom contract in order to satisfy both state and national authorities. As Carefree continues to grow into new jurisdictions management saw a clear need to standardize their approach as much as possible in order to minimize the cost of doing business during their expansion.
One feature deemed useful by dealers and office personnel alike is the payment calculator. It enable the quick back-of-a-napkin type of analysis to project likely payment requirements given some minimal inputs. It is often used to decide on a payment approach prior to finalizing an agreement.
The same feature was built to be accessible from a mobile device so that dealers could use the tool while walking around on a lot full of inventory while talking to potential customers.
While the core of the solution is customer contract creation and management the most technically interesting aspects of the solution included hardware integration with a signature pad and a mobile application optimized for use via SMS messaging using Twilio.
